China has tried to protect its people against further travails of the Olympic Torch Relay through London, and condemned the angry demonstrators who were trying to disrupt his route.
An official for the Beijing Olympic Games torch relay at the office of disgust expressed by the attempts of demonstrators opposed to Beijing's drive to restore order in the region of Tibet, after the riots of last month and shootings of demonstrators in Tibet in the past week.
"A few elements of Tibetan independence had tried to disrupt the torch relay of the Olympic Games sacred across London." An official said. "We strongly condemn this ignoble behaviour."
That tone was echoed today by Wang Hui, a spokesman for the organizing committee of the Beijing Games, as it blames the demonstrators supporting the independence of Tibet. "We strongly condemn the disruption of the torch relay by the Tibetan separatists," she says.
